Who can become a creator on Backing Bay?
Any Indian individual, startup, MSME, or enterprise with a valid mobile number, email, and GST can become a creator.
How do I list my project?
Log in > Click "Create Project" > Fill in all required fields (title, description, rewards, pricing, KYC, etc.) > Submit for approval.
Can I sell both products and services?
Yes, Backing Bay supports both tangible products and service-based offerings.
What documents are required?
PAN card, GST number, bank details, and KYC documents of the authorized person.
How much commission does Backing Bay charge?
We charge a flat 9% commission on the total amount raised.
How long does it take for project approval?
Generally, within 48-72 hours, subject to verification and completeness.
How do I get paid?
Funds (after deduction of commission, GST, and TCS) are transferred to your verified bank account after the funding cycle ends.
Am I responsible for delivery?
Yes. Creators are fully responsible for fulfilling all commitments, including delivery, support, and refunds as per their policies.
Can I run more than one project?
Yes, but we recommend managing one project at a time for better delivery and customer satisfaction.
What if I face issues after funding?
You are expected to resolve them directly with the backers. For major concerns, our support team can mediate informationally, but legal responsibility lies with the creator.
